• Question: the earth is round so why doesnt the water fall out into space

      Hey,

      When you jump in the air, you land back down again. This is because of a force called gravity. Gravity is the name of a force that pulls objects towards each other but only really big objects – objects as big as the earth- have strong enough gravity for us to feel it.
      It’s this force, gravity, that actually pulls water down towards the center of the earth and keeps it from floating into space.
      The moon is smaller than earth, so it’s gravity isn’t strong enough to stop the water falling off, that’s why there is no water on the moon!
