• Question: Is there a material on the moon that can create a new form of electricity or a new material that can absorb sunlight better than the solar panels?

      Hey,

The moon doesn’t have an atmosphere like Earth does to protect it from solar wind. Because of this, the solar wind and sun’s radiation cause a lot of a substance called Helium-3 to be formed on the moon.
The Helium-3 has the possibility to be used as fuel in nuclear power plants and work much better than other nuclear fuels like Uranium or Thorium to generate electricity.
It wouldn’t work like solar panels (by absorbing sunlight), but could still be used to make a huge amount of electricity.
