      Hey,

There are about 20 of us in total in my lab: a few people with PhDs, a few students studying for a degree in chemistry and then the rest of us are PhD students in various stages of research.
We tend to work from 9 to 5 – the hours are fairly normal, but every so often there’s a key experiment that might take a bit longer, or just need a small bit of attention at the weekend, so I’ll pop into the lab then and make sure it’s all ok.

      Hey,

My ‘lab’ is actually an office space in a university and also different health centres. There’s about 200 people working in my department.

I have usual office hours of 9-5 but because my work involves doing trials on patients, I often have to work in the evenings so that I can meet with patients when they finish their jobs.

Also I collaborate with other scientists all around the world so I spend quite a lot of the time working in the evenings and early morning when they are in the middle of their working day.
