      Hey,

The current world record is just over 11 days, held by Randy Gardner!

The world record for going without sleep is held by Randy Gardner who was 16 when he stayed awake for 11 days!

But in reality not getting enough sleep is really important. In fact it’s linked to a lot of health conditions including heart disease, stroke and diabetes. It’s can also be dangerous (think driving or riding a bike) and can lead to bad moods and lack of concentration.

Here’s a nice infographic all about sleep and how important it is:

Try and make sure you get 7-9 hours, maybe more if you can, of sleep a night. I wish I could – I have a young baby and reckon I’m getting about 5 hours a night if I’m lucky 🙁
