• Question: do you think there are a lot of lady scientists?

      Hi
      There are loads of female scientists but there’s a lot more male ones! I’m a biologist so there are more women than in physics or engineering in fact some biology degrees at uni have more girls than boys so hopefully in the future they’ll be lots more female scientists.

      There definitely are, but not enough! I think there’s still this idea that science is for boys, but girls can absolutely do it too (and do it well). The famous scientists tend to be male (like Stephen Hawking and Brian Cox) because I think they fit this idea of what people expect scientists to be like. But it’s time that changed!
