Ebola is spread through contact with bodily fluids like blood and saliva (spit) of an infected person. The contact can be direct or indirect (for example by contact with bed sheets with bodily fluid on it). The best way to stop it is to keep infected people separate from healthy ones and when treating them use protective clothing like gloves. The problem is that people get sick and don’t know it or are hiding it and don’t seek medical help. Then they can spread it to other people in their surroundings. People taking care of sick people like nurses and doctors can also get sick, if they don’t watch out. If sick people were all found and separated, and the people caring for them followed all safety advice, we could stop it from spreading.
