• Question: Will anyone in the future world ever go to mars to live on the planet, create a family and start up a new life like earth started out.

      I bet they will! There’s actually plans being made right now to send people to mars to live there. It would be pretty difficult to start with though – there’d be no food or water so they’d have to take stuff with them to grow food once they got there. It would be pretty scary being out on Mars – if anything went wrong there’s no way to get home. Having a family there would be difficult but I’m sure it will happen at some point. I wonder if they’ll have to add a new category to your birth certificate, ‘Planet of Birth’.

      I think it’s likely that some time in the next 25 years or so we will send people to mars! The mars one mission is one upcoming plan to send astronauts to mars. You can read about some of the plans they have and the difficulties they face here:

      I think that people will go to Mars in our lifetime but it will be much longer before we start living there. It’s been 50 years since we went to the moon and we haven’t started living there yet!

      But they are already testing the technology that they will us for missions to Mars in places like Iceland as these best match the rocky, volcanic surface and conditions on Mars.
