It does seem like that sometimes doesn’t it?
I don’t actually know the answer to this but there’s bound to be some things that don’t! A lot of things that “cause cancer” actually only affect your chance of getting cancer very slightly so there are probably a lot of things like that.

As Kate say’s it really feels like that when you read the papers but usually no one thing actually causes cancer. There are lots of things that can increase your risk of getting it like the UV from sunshine and smoking. The more risk factors you are exposed to the greater the chance of getting cancer.
There are also things that can decrease your risk, like eating healthily and exercising more.

      Hey,

When you see all the headlines it does feel like it sometimes doesn’t it! In a way it’s true but you shouldn’t be afraid of everything. In fact your body probably already has some cancerous cells but your immune system has great defence mechanisms against it so most of them die off.

And there’s loads you can do to lower your risk like not smoking, not drinking too much alcohol, eating a healthy diet and exercise (so that you don’t get too overweight). Here’s a nice video that explains some of the risks for cancer and what you can do to help reduce your risk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsS-JqsfMr0
